Public Garden Open Hours

Experience one of the world’s most outstanding collections of rare and diverse plants through a visit to Heronswood Garden.

HOURS: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 10:00am to 3:00pm (last garden entry at 2:30pm). Masks / facial coverings required. We anticipate being open Friday, July 10 through Sunday, October 25, 2020 if public health conditions allow.

GARDEN ENTRY FEES: $10 Adults; $5 Ages 7 – 17. Free for children under 7.

FERRIES: Washington State Ferries – Some of the routes have decreased crossing times so plan ahead. The Edmonds-Kingston route will be running one ferry on weekends in July.

Garden Etiquette

Heronswood is a place of beauty and tranquility. Our staff strives to make everyone’s experience special and enjoyed by all and, as such, while on the premises there are a few rules that we ask guests to follow:

GARDEN UNDER RESTORATION, PLEASE BE CAREFUL

Watch your step on pathways.
Supervise children at all times.
Be mindful of open water areas and fixtures.

WANDER AT YOUR OWN RISK
PLEASE BE A RESPECTFUL VISITOR

Do not walk in garden beds.
Do not take cuttings, seeds or any other plant materials.
Dogs on leads, please clean up after your pet. No dogs in the Garden House.
No smoking or picnicking allowed in the garden.
Please dispose of any recycling or trash properly.

Photo Policy

During public events held at Heronswood, visitors may appear in photos or video taken and used for promotional or marketing purposes.

While visiting Heronswood, you may take photos or video of the garden, events, or work activities being completed. These pictures or video are for your private use only and may not be used to promote, advertise, or market third party products, events, or services. Any commercial use requires a signed release. No monopods or tripods allowed. Never step into a bed to take or to be in a photo, or stand/sit on garden structures. Benches are available in different locations for sitting.
