Our Good Neighbor

Kitsap County is home to several public gardens of note, and none more so than The Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. We're glad to be joined by Kaslin Daniels, Director of Horticulture for a virtual talk.

Drawing on her extensive experience working in public gardens and green spaces—from Central Park in New York to Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania and Gardens by the Bay in Singapore—Kaslin will will explore Bloedel Reserve’s unique position within the public garden landscape. She will discuss the garden's design, mission, and history, as well as the delicate balance between preservation and development in a heritage landscape. Additionally, Kaslin will share her perspective on the future direction for the gardens and highlight some of the Reserve's current goals and projects.

This class will be held via Zoom. Ticket holders can join the webinar live, with a 1-hour lecture plus Q&A afterwards, and/or watch the recording, which will be made available to all.
