Creating a ‘meadow’ in the Pacific Northwest, in a climate that does not nominally provide such landscapes, presents both challenges as well as great rewards.  Dan Hinkley will discuss his long journey in creating a ‘meadow-like’ experience at Windcliff, reporting his many mistakes and a few successes, all while reducing the consumptive measures of mowing and watering.
