Heronswood Garden, owned and operated by the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, is pleased to sponsor another study ‘fly-in’ devoted to more fully edifying our knowledge of selected genera or closely related genera, July 6–8, 2018.

Limited to 75 participants, the Woodland Study Weekend will bring researchers, nurserymen and other keen enthusiasts to enlighten and edify the taxonomy of, and general appreciation for, a conglomerate of related genera possessing both horticultural prestige and botanical incertitude.

We have arranged an exciting line-up of speakers as well as enticing visits to gardens, natural areas and nurseries. This is meant to provide an opportunity to meet and converse with leading authorities on, and exceptional enthusiasts of, several genera: Polygonatum, Disporum, Maianthemum, Streptopus, Uvularia, Prosartes and Ruscus.

Following is the proposed schedule of events; slight changes may happen. As valued participants of this joint venture, your input at this point is highly appreciated and spreading the word to those who should be in attendance is hugely appreciated.

Lodging and Study Sessions will be at the exceptional Point Casino Hotel, a mile from Heronswood Garden. This is a new and beautiful facility that you will find superbly comfortable and of remarkable value. There is a block of rooms reserved for this meeting. You must reserve your own room.
