Saturday, February 2, 10:00am-1:00pm
Instructor: Dan Hinkley
Propagation by seeds remains a mystery to many fine gardeners, though there is probably no greater joy than collecting, cleaning, and sowing one’s own seeds, successfully transplanting the resultant seedlings, and raising them to maturity. In the first of a three part series on plant propagation, Heronswood founder and Garden Director Dan Hinkley will approach the process of propagation by seed with an easy to comprehend blending of both theory and practical hands-on information. Propagation by hardwood cuttings will also be covered. The cost of this class covers instruction and materials for a hands-on propagation lesson.
NOTE: A portion of this class will be held outside.
Class size: 20
