Fall is peak time for wild, edible mushrooms, and this class will prepare you to go out with basket and knife in hand to harvest your own bounty. We will cover basic identification, the necessary safety precautions, and the ecology of some of the more choice edible mushrooms that can be found in the Pacific Northwest. The lecture will be followed by a mushroom foraging walk. Come dressed for the weather and a brief hike in the woods.
NOTE: A portion of this class will be held outside.
