Haunted Heronswood is here at last! Our gardeners have conspired with the weather and the plants to create the perfect Halloween outing for you and your family. Come see the Heronswood you know and love transformed into a spooky version of its normal self. The fall color is still in full swing, the weather looks clear at last, and the ghouls and goblins are hiding just behind the next Rhododendron.
Many of our plants have already gotten into the spirit, perhaps the spookiest of which is “Dead Man’s Fingers,” Decaisnea fargesii. Its pewter blue, finger-like fruits stand out against butter yellow foliage, and have been known to reach down at Haunted Heronswood patrons who venture too close on their way to delicious food and local brews.
Bring the whole family (costumes encouraged!) to walk jack-o-lantern lane, revel in the autumnal garden, enjoy food, drink, and fun, and venture down the spooky garden trail. We will open Friday and Saturday at 5pm; stay until 9pm, if you dare!
